About Shanti
Hi, I’m Shanti. I'm so glad you're here. Registered Nurse / Reiki Master Teacher
My journey into Reiki began with my horse, Whiskey. Before she came into my life, she’d been through ten homes in a year and a half. Despite giving her time, patience, and every resource I had, I knew something wasn’t right.
Everything changed when a distance Reiki session led me to pursue genetic testing — revealing a rare muscle disease that finally explained her struggles. She wasn’t a “problem horse.” Something deeper had gone unrecognized. That experience changed the course of my life.
As a registered hospice nurse, my foundation has always been evidence-based care, compassionate presence, and supporting the whole person. Reiki didn’t replace that foundation — it expanded it. It taught me another way of listening: to slow down, get curious, and make space for whatever needs attention — physically, emotionally, or energetically.
Today I offer in-person and distance Reiki for people and animals, as well as equine-partnered experiences. My approach is gentle, grounded, and deeply individual. There’s nothing you need to perform, prove, or articulate. You’re simply invited to arrive as you are.
Horses have an extraordinary way of bringing us into the present moment — sensitive to the subtlest shifts in our energy, they gently reflect what we carry, inviting honesty, self-awareness, and authenticity. This is where science and mystery meet for me: creating compassionate space where people can reconnect with themselves, with animals, and with the natural world — and feel seen, supported, and never alone.
